Program Overview

Young Champions is our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program for students ages 7–14, based in Bonaire, GA — the bridge between early childhood fundamentals and serious martial arts development.

At this level, training becomes more technical and more demanding. Students build on the foundational movement and habits developed in Little Thrashers — or establish them from scratch if they’re joining for the first time. Classes introduce real positional awareness, problem-solving under pressure, and the discipline required to improve consistently over time.

The 3 A's — Attitude, Ability, and Attendance — remain the framework. The expectations grow with the student.

Who This Is For

  • Students ages 7–14, with or without prior experience
  • Kids transitioning from the Little Thrashers program
  • Youth who thrive with structure, clear expectations, and measurable goals
  • Parents looking for a serious activity that builds character alongside skill
  • Older kids and teens ready for a real challenge

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Young Champions

What age is Young Champions for?
Young Champions is for kids and teens ages 7 to 14. Younger kids (ages 4-6) train in our Little Thrashers program.
Does my child need experience to start?
No. Young Champions welcomes students with and without prior experience. Kids transitioning from Little Thrashers continue their development, and kids joining for the first time are introduced to fundamentals from the ground up.
How often does the class meet?
Young Champions meets three days a week — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday — at 5:30 PM. Each class runs 60 minutes.
Will my child do live sparring?
Live rolling is part of the training — but it’s introduced progressively, with cooperation and safety as the foundation. Kids learn to control intensity before they learn to apply it.
What's the path forward after Young Champions?
Students who continue training transition into our adult BJJ program when the time is right. The progression is intentional — Little Thrashers → Young Champions → Adult BJJ.
